The Clinic was established in 2006 by Duncan Mason, who
has been working as a qualified Physiotherapist since1990.

He graduated from Manchester University with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy in 1990. He went on to work in South Manchester Health Authority, then Salford Hospitals NHS trust before taking on a senior job at Royal Bolton Hospital in 1996. Whilst at Bolton he worked as an Extended Scope Practitioner in areas of Upper Limb, Spinal and Lower Limb. In 2000 he began work as a Lecturer Practitioner, a split post between Bolton and Salford University before going full time Lecturing early 2003.

He is registered with the Health Professions Council; he is a member of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM).

His extensive experience in the NHS and depth of Post Graduate Education (including Body Control Pilates) has highly developed his physiotherapy knowledge and skills. He has written systematic reviews and has recently finished writing his second book chapter due for Publication in 2007 by Elsevier. He is currently undertaking research into lower limb injuries in the movement analysis laboratory at Salford University

Mike Robinson qualified in 1994 from Manchester University, he worked initially at Hope Hospital, Salford, prior to gaining experience in Indiana in the United States. On returning to the UK Mike has worked as an Extended Scope Practitioner both at the Royal Bolton Hospital and Hope. He specialised in assessment of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly of the spine and has also worked in Private Practice for the past six years.

He has recently completed his Masters Degree in Health Care Practice. He is skilled in administration of steroid injections having completed his training in injection therapy. He currently manages the musculoskeletal services in Bolton Community.

Lynne Gaskell qualified in 1988 from Liverpool University, her experience in the NHS culminated in her role as an Extended Scope Practitioner in spinal conditions. Lynne is a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). She is also a qualified Pilates instructor and has experience working in sports injuries, with Widnes RLFC including at the Challenge Cup Final.

Lynne also lectures at Salford University, specialising in management of the spine and currently teaches on Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. She is also an active researcher into back pain, published in peer-reviewed journals in this area and having completed her Masters in Research. Lynne has also written chapters on assessment of the musculoskeletal system in published text books.
