What to expect
Your initial appointment will last for 45mins, you will need to bring shorts and a t-shirt with you, you may be required to undress to your underwear particularly if we need to look at your back or neck as part of your problem. We will endeavour to put you at ease throughout your visit.

We pride ourselves on our highly professional, patient centred approach, we will provide a comprehensive assessment and educate you on your problem, we will then formulate a treatment programme in partnership with you with jointly agreed goals. This ensures that you understand your problem and play an active role in your rehabilitation; this approach has been shown to be more effective in the long-term management of musculoskeletal problems.

We use a ‘hands on’ approach to treatment applying techniques in joint and soft tissue manipulation in conjunction with exercises to maximise the effect of the treatment. Exercises will be reviewed with feedback and progressed as required on each visit.

About exercise & our classes
Exercise is a means of rehabilitation and prevention of injuries, it is fun and can burn some calories in a friendly well supervised exercise class. Either way it is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. For a Chartered Physiotherapist it is certainly one of the most powerful treatments at our disposal and our depth of knowledge in this area makes us unique amongst Health Care Professionals.

Our classes are run by Chartered Physiotherapists with all the necessary training. They will guide you through the movements and advise you throughout the class. Our classes have a maximum of fourteen participants this will ensure that you receive some individual attention and feedback whilst still gaining the benefits of working in a group.

About Us
At the Worsley Physiotherapy and Sport Injuries Clinic our approach is patient centred. Private appointments consist of a 45 minute face-to-face contact session - this enables us to thoroughly access your problem and get to the root cause.

We will explain your diagnosis and the causing factors in plain English. Our treatment approach is very much 'hands on' meaning you will receive either massage or manipulation - or sometimes both.

You will always have an individualised progressive exercise programme to complete at home. Many of our physiotherapists may use acupuncture as an effective means of pain relief. Although we will occasionally use electrotherapy machines - we will only do this if necessary. As we find that skilled 'hands on' treatment the most effective way of delivering a quick improvement.
