Hugh comes from a background in sport science and strength & conditioning and has worked
with elite-level athletes in professional football academies, including MCFC, Burnley FC and
Wellington Phoenix. Hugh has also worked with elite touch rugby athletes for England Touch,
supporting squads at major tournaments such as the Touch World Cup and European
championships as a Strength & Conditioning coach, and providing pitch-side emergency first
aid.
As a qualified Physiotherapist, Hugh is passionate about blending his experience
as an S&C coach with injury rehabilitation to provide elite-level care for amateur athletes. He is
confident in providing sports needs analysis and structured strength & conditioning programmes
tailored to individuals needs. Hugh has had a broad range of physiotherapy experience within
the NHS, including mental health and lymphoedema outpatients, and MSK.
Hugh is a friendly individual who enjoys connecting with patients and treating them holistically
and collaboratively. Hugh has always been interested in a variety of sports and has represented
the North West playing touch rugby.
